£27,519 - £37,923

Opportunity knocks for a qualified Litigation Solicitor or Barrister.  A Litigation specialist dealing with both routine and complex advice and case work relating to all aspects of local government litigation work for example: Regulatory Prosecutions (fraud, housing, littering, fly-tipping enforcement matters), Community Safety, Judicial Reviews, Injunctions, Contractual disputes, plus Corporate Governance and Information law.    

As a Litigation Lawyer with our Legal Team you will find this role very rewarding with varied responsibilities for research, analysis, drafting documentations and attending court/tribunals to conduct advocacy. Day to day problem solving is essential as well as the provision of  professional legal advice. You will have the ability to constructively challenge others with a willingness to liaise, negotiate, influence and collaborate with people at all levels of the council including external partners.

On top of your legal skills, we will value your can-do attitude as an in-house lawyer and your commitment to delivering first class outcomes for the public good. You will play a key role in driving forward a range of quality litigation matters as the council’s highly regarded public service teams develop innovative new ways to become financially self-sufficient.  You will offer more than just a traditional local government legal service and be enthusiastic about developing your own expertise and improving the legal knowledge and capabilities of our clients.
