Locum Contracts & Procurement Lawyer

£50-55 per hour umbrella
6 months initial contract

Panoramic Associates are excited to be working with a large legal team within a Local Authority based in London, who are looking for an experienced Contracts and Procurement Solicitor to join them for an initial 6  months contract with a strong likelihood of a long-term opportunity.

This role is offered on mostly remote basis and hours up to full-time, 5 days per week.  The council offer a flexible working policy with no office attendance required and flexibility with start/finish times around personal commitments.   

The role will involve advising on complex commercial and procurement matters & supporting the head of the commercial contracts and procurement team.  As a large local authority, they have an interesting range of contracts matters available including Social Care, Public Health, Construction and IT contracts!

Essential criteria:

• A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister, alternatively, non-qualified Lawyers with substantial relevant experience will also be considered.
• Good practical knowledge of Commercial Contracts and Procurement practices in Local Government including dealing with the drafting and negotiations of commercial contracts to include IT contracts.
• A solid understanding of Public Sector Procurement Law
