£43,421 - £47,420 per annum

Swansea Council is seeking to recruit an Associate Lawyer who will work with the Council in the Litigation legal team as an employment lawyer.
 
Applications are invited from an enthusiastic, innovative, suitably qualified and experienced Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX to deal with a variety of matters relevant to the subject area. You will be expected to conduct and manage your own caseload, advise on and draft complex policy documents and pleadings and conduct advocacy at a variety of forums.

You will be required to attend and advise at Committees as appropriate. You must be able to communicate effectively with members, senior officers and outside agencies. Experience of advising on local authority employment law, policy and practice and including undertaking the necessary advocacy is essential. Knowledge and experience of advising on and conducting general civil litigation matters including coronial work is desirable.
