Locum Senior Property Lawyer for a role within
a London based Local Authority. The fixed-term contract is offered for an
initial 3-month period with an extension opportunity for the right candidate.
A
full-time role, with there being a requirement to have
office presence for 3 days of the week and to work remote the other 2 days. The optimal candidate shall be a
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with
Local Government experience within
Property Law. About the Role: - Strategic Advisory: Provide advanced legal guidance, ensuring services align with commercial priorities and comply with statutory obligations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with government departments, internal teams, external agencies, and legal professionals for cohesive project execution.
- Governance Standards: Establish and uphold governance standards, ensuring compliance with Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information, and Local Government Law.
- Legislative Updates: Stay current with legislative changes, evaluating their impact on council operations.
- Project Management and Coordination: Manage projects, offering expertise in risk and strategy within Property & Regeneration, while providing motivation and development to project groups.
The role of Senior Property Lawyer offers a rate up to £50 per hour dependant on experience and will be a full-time role for an initial period of 3 months.
