Job Description:
Salary: up to £90,000 We are transforming the way we work to create a single unified officer core, to work with both of our Councils. As a Director, you will join us right at the beginning of our journey, as we pursue a radical change programme to combine the resources of our organisations so that we can achieve more together for our communities. There is considerable scope and autonomy for you to influence the direction we take, to get us to where we need to be. You will work closely with the Chief Executive, Strategic Directors and Directors to ensure that the Council’s objectives are promoted and implemented through developing appropriate strategies and policies, translating these into effective action. As a People and Governance professional, you will be educated to postgraduate level or equivalent by experience. You will have significant post qualification experience gained in the public, private or voluntary sector, including experience of operating at Leadership Team level. You will have the ability to establish new teams and develop innovative ways of working to drive, motivate and mentor others. You will be an inspirational, charismatic and motivating leader, with a track record of promoting and delivering positive solutions to achieve diversity and equality of opportunity. You’ll also have the ability to understand the varying needs of your colleagues, find solutions to complex issues, and move quickly to develop contingency and mitigation strategies, understanding what it takes to create the #oneteam.
