Starting from £41,591 per annum up to £46,662 plus £2500 Market forces entitlement (pro rata'd)

Job Duties:Hertfordshire County Council offers an ideal opportunity for highly motivated, enthusiastic and organised Lawyers to join a large and thriving public sector legal team.
The Lexcel accredited Legal Services is based in the beautiful Grade II listed County Hall in Hertford, within easy reach by train of North and East London. With over 100 employees, it is one of the largest legal departments in local government and provides a full legal service across all specialisms to both the Council and to other public sector bodies.
We are looking to grow our successful Environment Law Team.
The Environment Law Team is critical to the success of the Council’s ambitious Growth Agenda and provides the opportunity to be involved in major infrastructure projects; drafting and negotiating a wide range of planning and highways agreements and providing specialist planning, highways and rights of way advice to the Council’s Environment & Infrastructure department.
Previous experience of working within a Local Authority environment would be useful but is not essential. It is possible that the role involves travel to other parts of Hertfordshire so access to your own transport would be beneficial.
