Job Description:

Senior Childcare Lawyer
Hybrid – Northern Home Counties, commutable from London
£44,261 – £50,366 DOE + Local Government Pensions Scheme

Panoramic Associates have been instructed by local government legal services provider area to recruit an experienced Childcare lawyer to join their legal team on a permanent basis.  

The role will include child protection matters, fostering and adoption matters. Child protection matters will include pre-proceedings and care proceedings. Work covered by the organisation covers all aspects of child protection work in relation to Local Authority statutory duties.

You will have excellent knowledge of public law and matters concerning the protection of children including the Children Act 1989 and the Adoption and Children Act 2002.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis with attendance at offices in Northern Home Counties required one day per month.

Key Requirements:
  • A qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive, alternatively, non-qualified Lawyers with substantial relevant experience will also be considered
  • An excellent knowledge of Childcare law including Children Act /Adoption advocacy experience
  • Previous experience working within local government advising on childcare matters
  • Experience of managing your own caseload.
They are ideally looking for someone on a full-time basis however, part-time applicants will also be considered.
