Location: Rushcliffe, Nottinghamshire
Salary LS10/LS9: £33,855 - £39,825 per annum

Rushcliffe Borough Council is located in West Bridgford, Nottingham and re-located in late 2016 to Rushcliffe Arena.

Solicitor – The Role:

We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic individual, qualified as a Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive to join our busy Legal Services Team. We welcome applications from both newly qualified and more experienced practitioners. We would expect the successful candidate to add value and ensure Rushcliffe stays ahead of the game by working closely with officers across the Council in delivering an ambitious and challenging corporate programme.

Whilst we are particularly interested to hear from candidates with experience in planning, we would also welcome those with experience in one or more of the following areas: property, regulatory prosecutions, commercial contract, public procurement and/or civil litigation.
 
Solicitor – Key Responsibilities:

With no two days the same you will undertake a wide variety of legal work, working within a friendly and supportive team environment to provide a professional and effective legal service to the Council.  We are seeking an applicant with demonstrable people skills, experience of working in a team and with technical abilities across one or more of the above areas of law. Attendance and participation at evening meetings may be required.
 
Solicitor – You:
 
Previous local authority experience is desirable but not essential, this is a great opportunity to develop your skills and career at an award-winning local authority. Rushcliffe Borough Council operates in a three-tier local authority area working closely with Nottinghamshire County Council, other neighbouring councils, and the 35 parish councils in Rushcliffe.
