£19,099 - £22,129 depending on experience

We are seeking a full time, Legal Professional Support to be part of our Regulatory and Litigation Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
 
You will be part of an experienced Team assisting the Council on all aspects of litigation. The role will include providing comprehensive professional support to lawyers in Legal Services in relation to legal case matters, for example; coordination of cases in case management system, supporting fee earners in the delivery of legal work by undertaking such tasks as are allocated, audio digital typing, electronic filing, preparing bundles and administering the Legal Helpline and Team Inbox. Additionally, you will be required to provide support to other strands of the Legal Service when required such as assisting with post and sealing.
 
The successful candidate will be efficient and have a basic knowledge and understanding of litigious work. They will understand the need to work to deadlines and how to prioritise work. They will have a good understanding of case management systems and Microsoft applications.
 
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and to strict timescales, are a must. You’ll be confident, adaptable and flexible and be ready to work collaboratively as part of an experienced team.
 
This is a varied and interesting role working within a small and friendly team.  Support and training will be provided. Don’t worry if you don’t have local government experience as we’ll give you the support you need to develop. This role is an excellent stepping stone for anyone wishing to pursue a career in law.
