Up to £49,662 per annum
  •  Grade I £42,614 - £46,662 + £3,000 market supplement per annum
  • Permanent
  • 37 hours per week

Be a senior member of our talented team and operate using a large and diverse client base, as a way of advising across sectors including residential, infrastructure, and environmental. More personally, share with the Director and members of the Senior Leadership Team the duty to role model the values of openness, trust, and transparency.
 
As a Senior Lawyer (Planning), your duties will include:
  • Handling contentious work in judicial review and statutory challenges
  • Advocacy in inquiries
  • Advising in development management, such as planning committees, planning enforcement, planning appeals, planning agreements, community infrastructure levy issues, planning policy and compulsory purchase
  • Handling your own caseload of complex matters
  • Supporting business development initiatives
  • Supporting junior members of the team with their case loads
  • Provision and development of first-rate legal services
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Substantial and advanced experience of complex planning law and issues in respect to the delivery of affordable housing
  • Experience in legal work in/for local government/public sector
