Salary: £40,578 - £43,570

Number of hours: 37

Location: Torbay

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a stunning coastal location and join a dynamic and growing in-house legal department which delivers an efficient and high-quality legal service to its client departments within Torbay Council. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated regulatory lawyer to be part of our busy litigation team.

This post holder will ideally have comprehensive knowledge and experience in handling a caseload of contentious regulatory matters, including licensing and prosecutions and will be required to provide comprehensive advice to Council departments covering a wide spectrum of public services.

You will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, with at least 3 years PQE, a flexible team player, adept at communicating with a wide variety of different audiences and be able to work to deadlines with a diverse and busy local authority. Local authority experience is desirable, but not necessary.
