Would you like to undertake varied, high-quality legal work with like-minded and supportive colleagues who are committed to providing excellent public service and making a difference within the local community?

We wish to recruit two flexible, highly skilled lawyers to join our Safeguarding Legal Team. You must have experience of and a genuine enthusiasm for Child Safeguarding law and an excellent approach to public service and client care. Candidates from both the public and private sectors are encouraged to apply.

The Role:

You will provide legal advice, representation and undertake legal research relating to child safeguarding matters and will carry a caseload of matters in both proceedings and pre-proceedings. You will undertake advocacy in the relevant courts, including contested hearings and briefing counsel where appropriate. The team also deal with matters relating to adults' safeguarding, employment and education so any experience in those areas would be beneficial, but not essential.

You will be part of a busy legal team with a strong culture of support and teamwork and at times you may be required to undertake work in other areas covered by the team.
