£34,809 - £42,614 depending on experience

We’re seeking a full-time, permanent specialist childcare lawyer, qualified as a solicitor, barrister or FCILEx, to support our Children’s Team in securing positive outcomes for children and young people, by working alongside our outstanding Ofsted rated Together for Families Service.
 
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and to strict timescales, are a must, to ensure we are delivering expert childcare advice to our clients. You’ll be a confident advocate, adaptable and flexible and be ready to work collaboratively as part of an experienced team offering specialist advice on all aspects of children and education law.
 
You should expect a varied and challenging caseload including:
  • Advising on the threshold criteria for public law applications
  • Fostering and adoption advice
  • Assistance during the PLO process
  • Care proceedings, including Placement Order applications
  • Private law matters
  • Advice to schools and academies, including parental responsibility, pupil welfare and safeguarding
  • School admissions, transport and exclusions, including representation at appeals
  • SEN, including representation at Tribunals
