Job Description:

Are you passionate about procurement and ready for a change? Then read on to put the spring back in your step.

Here at VWV, our small and thriving team of procurement lawyers is looking to expand with a bright and enthusiastic lawyer at around the NQ to 6 years pqe level. Why so flexible? Well, for us it's not your pqe that matters but rather your passion for procurement so if your experience lies beyond those 6 years do still get in touch!

Whilst you'll need to have strong drafting and client-facing skills, we're open-minded about your background. Perhaps you work in the public sector in a general commercial role where procurement law forms just part of your wider role?  Perhaps you're experienced in procurement law within local government and are now looking to move into a more dynamic, private sector arena? Either way, we'd love to hear from you.

Within this role you'll be working closely with our highly rated partner, Stephanie Rickard. With a focus on non- contentious procurement and subsidy control work, Stephanie has a stellar reputation in procurement law.

As for the work itself, you'll enjoy high quality instructions from a wide range of clients including clients within the local government, education and healthcare arenas. You'll find yourself learning from and being supported by a number of genuine "experts". And in working so closely across our teams, you'll relish the opportunities for collaborative working and the social and well -being benefits this can bring.

This is an inspiring opportunity for a procurement lawyer looking to develop a real specialism in procurement law.

With around 500 employees and offices in Bristol, Birmingham, London and Watford, we're a sizeable firm that continues to grow. Here at VWV we have a truly unique and engaging culture that we hold dear. We work hard but we also value having fun. We recognise that it's the social interaction between us that really embeds our culture and frankly, makes us special.

Whilst our preference is for you to be Bristol based, particularly if you're at the relative infancy of your procurement journey, we have in recent times adopted a successful hybrid working model. With this in mind we would also welcome conversations with candidates outside of Bristol.

If you'd like to find out just a little bit more about this role and what makes VWV such a truly special place to work, please get in touch with me, Jannica Seccombe, Lawyer Resourcing Lead at VWV, jseccombe@vwv.co.uk or call me on 07500 109783.
