Up to £21,750 per annum

Leicestershire County Council has an exciting opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join its friendly and busy Environment & Property Team and following in-house training be responsible for preparing a range of highway orders and agreements.

We welcome applications from candidates who have not worked in the local government legal sector before and/or who are looking for a career change and/or who may be returning to work after a break. The ideal candidate should have:

  • a law degree or equivalent qualification or experience;
  • some knowledge of property or highway law;

Please note that, in line with government guidance on Covid-19, the majority of employees are currently working remotely. The interviews for this post will take place remotely via Microsoft Teams.
