£39,880 - £42, 821 per annum pro rata (SCP 36 – 39) + Casual car user allowance

Up to 37 hours a week (flexible working and job share applications welcomed)

We have a vacancy in our busy, but friendly, Legal Section for a proactive and enthusiastic lawyer to provide advice across a broad range of Council functions, focusing on planning, criminal and civil litigation, licensing and enforcement.  

You will be flexible, able to manage a varied and complex caseload in a timely manner and good at communicating with officers and Councillors alike. You will be a qualified solicitor, barrister or legal executive, ideally with some experience of planning and / or litigation work and willing to undertake advocacy.

Local Government experience is desirable but not essential and development support will be provided to the successful candidate if lacking experience in some of the work areas covered by this post.
