£39,880 to £42,821

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a busy, committed in-house legal team, which delivers an efficient and high quality legal service to its clients, adult social care and community health teams within Torbay Council and Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation trust. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Adult Social Care legal professionals to be part of our friendly legal team.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop existing skills and support our clients by providing legal advice across a wide spectrum of adult services law, including community care, mental health, mental capacity and all adult social care matters, including adult safeguarding, ordinary residency disputes, judicial review, policy issues and court of protection litigation.

This post will carry a caseload. The Senior Lawyer will lead on and deal with more complex matters.

You will be a flexible team player with excellent communication and IT skills, and be able to work to deadlines supporting the team with a varied and busy caseload. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running so experience in adult social care law is essential. Local authority experience is not necessary. In return we offer:
