We are looking for three confident self-motivated individuals to provide legal advice and act as lead lawyers on a range of challenging land and property matters. With an ambitious capital program consisting of proposed redevelopment, regeneration and high-profile disposals the position will offer the successful candidate the scope for development and a wide range of experience working on exciting projects. You will work in a supportive environment with a well-established team, having your own varied caseload of land, property, highways and general local government law matters.

We are integral to deliver of the Local Authority services, including supporting the regeneration, estates and housing functions as well as providing advice to the Council’s housing department and supporting the highways function.

This is for property Lawyers to join our team on a permanent full-time basis (Monday to Friday) with the ability to remote work with a requirement for some regular office attendance.

Your role
You will provide and secure high-quality legal services for the Council and other agreed public bodies in the areas of land and property Law (including advice on highways law as required).

With your learned coaching skills, you will support junior members of the team to assist with their development and learning.

Using your problem-solving approach, and ability to work as part of a team, you’ll support the Head of Law to ensure the provision of quality, client focussed and cost-effective legal services.

With your strong communication skills, you’ll build and manage external relationships with clients carrying through assigned tasks and matters to conclusion.

What you'll need
To be successful in this role, you will hold a Practising Certificate, and have significant experience in providing land and property law (including highways law) advice ideally in a Local Government capacity. In addition, as a strong communicator, who is commercially aware, and solutions focused you’ll advise the Council and other public bodies.
