Adult Safeguarding - Legal Services, Law and Governance

Would you like to undertake varied, high quality legal work with like-minded and supportive colleagues who are committed to providing excellent public service and making a difference within the local community?

We wish to recruit a flexible, highly skilled lawyer to join our Safeguarding & Litigation Legal Team based within our Lexcel accredited Legal Services Team. It is essential that you have experience of and a genuine enthusiasm for Adult Safeguarding law and an excellent approach to public service and client care. Candidates from both the public and private sector are encouraged to apply

We offer a modern, open plan, working environment with opportunities to use technology to work in a flexible and agile way. Our lawyers operate both autonomously and collaboratively to deliver high performance with light touch management. We provide a supportive environment for the development and maintenance of your professional skills and experience.

You will provide legal advice, representation and undertake legal research relating to adult safeguarding matters and will carry a varied caseload of matters. You will undertake advocacy in the relevant courts, including contested hearings and briefing counsel where appropriate.

As part of a busy legal team you may be required to undertake work in other areas covered by the team.

Please note that due to Covid-19 the team are currently working from home using laptops and video conferencing for meetings and hearings with limited office attendance. The working arrangements are subject to review.
