£38,890 - £43,857 per annum| Permanent | 37 hours per week |

Property, Commercial & Procurement Team
 
The Commercial Property legal team works on a busy and complex caseload involving numerous high-profile projects, including development sites, infrastructure projects and road schemes being undertaken by the council at any one time. The team is friendly and dedicated and the work is challenging and varied.
 
The role will involve conducting and managing a commercial property caseload involving all aspects of commercial property work including some property related work relating to CPO's and GVD's, Notices to Treat and Notices of Entry for road and infrastructure schemes, and providing technical legal advice on commercial property matters to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
 
The successful candidate will have at least two years post qualification experience in commercial property, together with up to date and authoritative knowledge of commercial property law and transactions. Experience of working within the public sector is desirable but not essential, as is experience in dealing with property related aspects of Compulsory Purchase Orders and General Vesting Declarations.
 
The successful applicant will need to be admitted as a Solicitor or called to the Bar or be a Chartered Legal Executive.
 
Due to current COVID-19 circumstances, council employees are currently working remotely.  The council is undertaking a review of the way in which employees will work in future.
