Job Description:

£45k+ depending on experience

Environmental/Planning/Litigation Lawyers

Join one of the country’s leading claimant-side environmental and planning law firms! Litigation and planning expertise needed. £45k+ depending on experience. Could suit partner level. Flexible working (full/part time) available.

Richard Buxton Solicitors are a small firm of dedicated environmental and planning law specialists. We are based in Cambridge but work nationally, with a reputation for taking on and winning ‘David & Goliath’ cases.

Candidates with experience in general litigation are encouraged to apply even if they know little of nuisance litigation, but we would hope to see an interest in using the law to protect the environment and help people.

Our clients come to us for relief from a variety of sources of nuisance, including flooding and water damage, aircraft noise, odour and nuisance from industry and farming, and claims from individuals and on behalf of groups of residents. We deal with civil and statutory nuisance claims. There may be opportunities for close liaison with planning and environmental judicial review work.

Candidates for this position may be locally-based or from further afield. The pandemic has fostered many of our team home working, from a hub office in Cambridge (an easy walk from the central station). We would prefer someone willing to attend the office – at least occasionally – but will consider applications from others, especially if experienced and for who home working is therefore more practicable.

To apply please click on the Enquire/Apply button below to send a CV and covering letter explaining your interest in the position by email, with subject line “Litigator Application (ADM2/4)” to Hannah Norman.
