Part-Time Property Lawyer – (Ref: PL)

18 hours per week

Salary £21,827.52 pa

We are looking for a Property Lawyer to undertake all aspects of local government property work.

You will be responsible for undertaking property transactions, including general conveyancing, commercial leases and associated matters. You will have excellent in-depth knowledge of property law and procedures. You will deal with a personal caseload of varied property matters, in addition to supporting and where necessary supervising the work of other property lawyers.

This is an exciting time to join Broxbourne legal services as it is in the process of establishing a shared legal service with a neighboring Council providing an excellent opportunity to work across both Councils.

You will have exceptional organisational skills, be self-motivated, conscientious and hard working. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in fluent English is essential in this post.

We are committed to safer recruitment, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

The benefits package includes generous leave entitlement, a full training and development programme, membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme and free membership to the Council’s local leisure centres, which includes free access to gyms, swimming pools, fitness classes, racket sport sessions, a health suite and a range of generous discounts across other leisure and culture services.
