Permanent contract (37 hours per week – happy to discuss flexible working)

Grade I (scp 41 - 45) - £41,192 - £45,317

(Starting salary dependent upon skills and qualifications, progression subject to satisfactory performance)

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Legal and Procurement Service.

We are looking for a Principal Legal Officer to provide an innovative, commercially sound, marketable, efficient and effective Legal Service, that ensures that the Council’s interests and values are protected, advanced and enforced.

You will hold a degree or equivalent, with demonstrable experience and up to date knowledge of legislation, regulations, standards and core disciplines within the legal environment. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an outcome focused mindset. If you have a can do attitude, a flexible and creative approach, with the ability to make sound decisions, then this could be the role for you.
