We now have a need for an experienced and skilled litigation solicitor within our growing Litigation Team.
 
About the role
In this key role and as an experienced member of the team you will provide high quality advice to our both officers and Members alike. You will also support the Council in Litigation matters.
 
You will provide professional support and mentoring for less experienced colleagues and oversee effective completion as required.
 
This position is available due to a recent restructure of the team to ensure we are aligned with the strategic and ambitious direction of our organisation.  As part of a growing Legal Team, this is an ideal time for you to make your mark and contribute to shaping the highly valued Legal Services.
 
This role is 37 hours per week but we operate an agile working policy, allowing you to manage your own diary and work flexibly, including off-site/remote working.
 
About you
We are looking for an experienced practitioner who possesses a strong background in the some of the following areas of law: Civil and commercial litigation, housing, antisocial behaviour, adult care, regulatory enforcement, licensing, education (including Special Educational Needs), employment law and governance and information law. You will arrive at solutions through analytical ability and thorough research, and show tenacity and strong interpersonal skills necessary to build effective working relationships and establish credibility with clients and colleagues. You will also be capable of working with limited support and supervision.
