£48,819 - £51,837per annum Welcome to SLLP We provide a wide range of legal services to the London Boroughs of Merton, Richmond, Sutton and Wandsworth and the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, making us the largest local authority shared legal service in the Country. As such, we are able to offer employment opportunities across all aspects of local government legal work. We take pride in offering a high quality and proactive legal service, bringing all the insight that being an in house service involves and combining that with commercial expertise and a breadth of experience smaller teams may not be able to offer. We are based in South West London and in normal times, our team can work out of any of 5 locations as well as remotely - agile working has been business as usual for a long time in SLLP. We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic applicants, keen to develop their skills in a public sector environment. The successful candidate will have extensive experience of both criminal litigation and licensing. You will be expected to manage a caseload of more complex and important enforcement matters, as well as providing expert advice to Council officers. You will also have experience of being the legal adviser attending and advising at Licensing Committees and Sub-Committees. The role includes the supervision of staff conducting enforcement cases and some cross-team working with our Litigation Team.
