Salary: Grade 10 £44,863 to £46,845 (Bar at £45,859) per annum
Hours: 35 per week

Qualification(s) Required: Yes, Solicitor with current practising certificate, Barrister who has completed pupillage or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives or equivalent legal qualification

Manchester City Council Legal Services is the largest shared legal service in the country, providing high-quality, value-for-money legal services to all departments of Manchester and Salford City Councils. We also act for a number of external clients including the Greater Manchester Combined Authority.
We are now recruiting to a key role to lead, supervise and motivate a team of lawyers dealing with planning, compulsory purchase and other regeneration projects for a number of clients. You will have strong experience of managing a varied caseload of complex, high profile and innovative legal matters relating to a wide range of planning, highways, compulsory purchase and regeneration work as well as leading and developing a team of lawyers.
You will have a track record of inspiring confidence in clients and excellent communication skills. You will have an ability to work flexibly and to be responsive to the needs of clients.
