oneSource is a fully integrated shared legal service. We advise Newham and Havering; two busy innovative and progressive Councils which require a skilled Children’s Lawyer to help them achieve their goals. We are constantly looking for better ways to deliver legal services and we hope you will want to be part of this exciting challenge.

We are looking for an experienced Children’s Lawyer to join our Community Care Legal Team. Based in Newham, but willing to travel to other offices when necessary, you will be a qualified lawyer with a good understanding of the workings of local government including its financial, legal and political context.

On a day to day basis you will use your legal knowledge of local government powers and duties in children’s social care, safeguarding and related areas to provide quality and timely legal advice to clients both within Havering and Newham.
 
About You
You will provide legal expertise in child care law; contributing to the delivery of high quality, solution focused legal work, to clients in both Newham and Havering.

You will have excellent legal research skills including using online resources and have the ability to apply this to practical situations. Possessing good oral and written communication skills.

In addition you will possess awareness and understanding of client needs alongside excellent client care skills.
