£42,000 to £48,307 per annum

We need two highly motivated senior solicitors to join our commercial team, to work on a variety of projects.
 
One role is permanent, working two days each week, the other role is maternity cover, working full time, until May 2021.
 
The roles will involve advising the Council on a wide range of matters including major projects for example: Housing Delivery programme; York Central; Castle Gateway and other redevelopment and regeneration work in York.
 
This is an ideal opportunity for experienced solicitor or barrister to work on a wide variety of contract, commercial and procurement matters across a broad range of areas. The team handles day to day commercial work as well as complex and high value project work. This role would suit a solicitor with 3+ years PQE.
 
This role is in the Projects & Governance team which provides legal and professional support across the following areas; planning, contracts & commercial, property, corporate governance, criminal litigation and licensing law.
 
14 Hours 48 minutes per week (two full days for the permanent post, and 37 hours a week for the maternity cover to May 2021). Permanent contract for 2 days Maternity cover for 5 days.
