£66,251 - £77,211 Per Annum inc of MR

We are looking for a Senior Legal Practitioner - Employment to join our team at the Attorney Generals Chambers on the Isle of Man.

What will you do?
You will undertake civil litigation on behalf of the Public Services Commission, Government Departments, Statutory Boards and Offices. This civil litigation will primarily be in relation to employment law and will include the provision of training to Departments/Boards and the Office of Human Resources to improve practices, advice with the aim of avoiding litigation, improving its conduct and representation of the PSC and Departments/Boards in any employment litigation that may occur.

Where workload permits, the post will also include undertaking other civil litigation which would include the provision of advice relating to those matters, transactions or documentation and generally in relation to areas of civil law and public law.

You will also be required to prepare documentation and accurate and authoritative advice within specific, often short, timescales and under pressure. In addition, you will assist other members of the Attorney General's Chambers in the development of efficient working practices to include the development of robust precedents and procedures for those areas of practice covered by the Main Duties and Accountabilities of this post.
