A rare opportunity to join one of the best legal teams in London in a senior role

The role
Lewisham Legal Services is seeking to recruit a senior qualified and enthusiastic Lawyer with experience of handling a caseload of primarily child protection matters to develop and promote advocacy skills and assist in the management of a hard working Child Protection team.

This post will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to experience a wide range of Social Care issues, and consolidate management skills in a highly regarded team that values high quality, pro-active Child Protection work. Lewisham Legal Services enjoys a close working relationship with their client Departments and aim to deliver supportive, effective legal advice to enable their clients to deliver excellent services

You can expect a varied and interesting caseload, within which you will be able to consolidate your own advocacy skills, whilst supporting the development of less experienced advocates in the Team, and management to provide consistent service delivery.

Location
Laurence House, Catford

What we’re looking for
We will look to you to provide advice on the full range of related issues and to work closely with other Officers of the Council, in a legal context.

The successful candidate will, therefore, need to demonstrate relevant experience. You will need to be computer literate, articulate, and be able to win the confidence of our clients and the Courts.

If you are a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or  Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives who is looking for a challenge and who can offer the highest standards of client care but is committed to the provision of a quality service, then we would want to hear from you.

Lewisham Legal Services prides itself on the service it delivers. We have both ISO 9001 and Lexcel accreditation.

In return, we’ll offer excellent development opportunities, plus a range of benefits that includes a career average pension scheme, flexible working and the opportunity to make a real difference to our local community.
