£35,934 - £40,760 per annum

Based at: Legal Services, Civic Centre, Port Talbot
 
An opportunity has arisen for a Contracts and Procurement Solicitor at Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council.
 
The job entails undertaking the legal work associated with the contractual, commercial, procurement and tendering functions of the Council.
 
The work will involve providing legal advice and assistance on contractual and commercial matters to the Council’s Directorates.
 
It will involve the negotiation and drafting of a broad spectrum of legal agreements for works, goods, services, and construction, covering all of the Council’s activities with other public bodies, the voluntary sector and the private sector. Experience of advising on, and drafting contracts, commercial arrangements and associated documentation is essential.
 
The work will also entail advising on procurement procedures and tender processes.
 
A sound knowledge of contract and procurement law and practice is required for the post.

The post requires the post holder hold qualification and enrolment as a Solicitor and full member of the Law Society with current Practising Certificate.
