We now have a need for two experienced and skilled property solicitors within our newly formed Commercial Team
 
About the role
 
In this key role and as an experienced and senior member of the Team you’ll provide high quality advice to our Property and Assets Management Team amongst others and competently manage a challenging yet exciting caseload. You will also support the Council in all commercial property matters including its property investment strategy and management of its significant property portfolio which delivers in excess of £6M per annum in rental income. You will also have the opportunity to work on major development projects, including the North Eastern Villages and to support the council in its joint venture to deliver significant housing and infrastructure development in Wichelstowe.
 
You will provide professional support and mentoring for less experienced colleagues and oversee effective completion as required.
 
This position is available due to a recent restructure of the team to ensure we are aligned with the strategic and ambitious direction of our organisation. With the newly appointed Chief Legal Officer, this is an ideal time for you to make your mark and contribute to shaping the highly valued Legal Services Team.
 
This role is 37 hours per week but we operate an agile working policy, allowing you to manage your own diary and work flexibly, including off-site/remote working.
 
About you
 
We are looking for an experienced practitioner who possesses a strong background in commercial real estate. You will arrive at solutions through analytical ability and thorough research, and show tenacity and strong interpersonal skills necessary to build effective working relationships and establish credibility with clients and colleagues. You’ll also be capable of working with limited support and supervision
