We now have a need for an experienced and skilled contracts and procurement solicitor within our newly formed Commercial Team
 
About the role
 
In this key role and as an experienced and senior member of the team you’ll provide high quality advice to our both officers and Members alike. You will also support the council in all contracts matters.
 
You will provide professional support and mentoring for less experienced colleagues and oversee effective completion as required.
 
This position is available due to a recent restructure of the team to ensure we are aligned with the strategic and ambitious direction of our organisation. With the newly appointed Chief Legal Officer, this is an ideal time for you to make your mark and contribute to shaping the highly valued Legal Services Team.
 
This role is 37 hours per week but we operate an agile working policy, allowing you to manage your own diary and work flexibly, including off-site/remote working.
 
About you
 
We are looking for an experienced practitioner who possesses a strong background in both contracts and procurement. You will arrive at solutions through analytical ability and thorough research, and show tenacity and strong interpersonal skills necessary to build effective working relationships and establish credibility with clients and colleagues. You’ll also be capable of working with limited support and supervision
